Taras Berezowsky

If asked a couple years ago whether he’d be reporting and writing on the metals market, Taras Berezowsky would’ve said, “You’re crazy!” But, when it comes to learning about the world of metals sourcing for MetalMiner, Taras grabs the bull (markets) by the horns.

Taras writes for and edits the MetalMiner blog, facilitates the site’s social media presence, and leads the burgeoning videography department for MetalMiner and Spend Matters. He also throws in his fair share of running the office dishwasher.

First faced with the joys of supply and demand in his IB Economics course (taught by a boisterous former CME trader) at the International Academy in Michigan, Taras passed the IB exam but, well, never looked back. After graduating from Kalamazoo College and between stints working in New York City theatre, Taras has written for American Theatre magazine, the Kalamazoo Gazette and Between the Lines. His articles for MetalMiner have been picked up by NASDAQ Community, Seeking Alpha and others.

Taras has a masters in journalism from the Medill School at Northwestern University, and enjoys writing, producing documentary theatre and film, and, most of all, learning about international relations, which ultimately led him to MetalMiner. Whenever he can, he loves visiting craft breweries all over the country, and, when not quaffing a style he hasn’t yet tried on his life list, finds time to write about it.
