Tomorrow, MetalMiner contributor and Spend Matters Editor in Chief, Jason Busch, will be in Houston presenting at the Houston Marriot North for the (Zycus Experience tour). After giving a presentation to the group on procurement and sourcing trends to expect from 2010-2015 including many of direct relevance for the metals markets he’ll be joining BP’s Gary Miklos on a panel to discuss a range of issues that impact direct materials sourcing, category management and related areas in the oil and gas sector and beyond. The event kicks off just before lunch and lasts until early evening. If you’re interested in attending, you can click on the above-link to register and attend for free.

MetalMiner and Spend Matters hope to team together in the next 12 months to bring an event to the Houston market that covers a range of procurement and sourcing issues (including metals commodity market updates) aimed at providing a half-day drink from the sourcing fire hose session for those in the oil, gas and energy markets. Consider Jason’s visit and his panel discussion with Gary Miklos a down payment on a return visit with greater metals content in the quarters to come.
