Just Crane Crazy

And we thought we were a super niche-y industry blog.

The other day I stumbled upon Crane Blogger, a site devoted to, well, cranes. No, not the majestic feathered creatures of flight; the other, steel-made creatures that reach great heights.

I was drawn to the blog site after stumbling upon “Floating Crane Goes Over in Kiev, a story detailing the epic collapse of the Zakharii LK-600 on the banks of the Dnieper River — one of the world’s largest floating cranes at 680 tons.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Crane Blogger literally devotes itself to All Things Crane, publishing not only crane news, but also information on new cranes (“Bringing you the latest and greatest new cranes, crane accessories, and much more); they maintain a crane resource library (“5 Must Knows About Crane Signals and other key tidbits), and even sponsor the 2nd annual Great Crane Photo Contest.

They even have cranes on video, such as this one:

Run by “crane people who “love what they do, Crane Blogger is definitely going on my bookmarks list — if only to continually check out the coolest crane photos.
