The price of Chinese copper wire steadied at CNY 55,800 ($8,826) per metric ton following two-days of dropping prices. Chinese copper bar saw little change in its price yesterday at CNY 56,900 ($9,000) per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained essentially flat at CNY 48,900 ($7,735) per metric ton.

The price of US copper producer grade 122 fell one percent to $4 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 110 declined one percent to $4.12 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 weakened by 0.9 percent, settling at $4.31 per pound. The cash price of Japanese primary copper saw a 0.9 percent decline to JPY 653,000 ($8,112) per metric ton.

The 3-month price of primary copper weakened by 2.1 percent on the LME, settling at $7,660 per metric ton. The price of primary cash copper saw a 1.8 percent decline on the LME to $7,710 per metric ton.
