Cash Price Of Indian Primary Aluminum Improves 2.4%

On May 18, 2012, the day’s biggest mover was Indian primary aluminum cash price, which saw a 2.4 percent increase to INR 110.65 ($2.03) per kilogram. On the LME, the cash price of primary aluminum declined 0.4 percent to $1,987 per metric ton. On the LME, the primary aluminum 3-month price saw little change in its price last Friday at $2,033 per metric ton.

Chinese aluminum prices were flat for the day. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap held steady at CNY 16,650 ($2,632) per metric ton. Chinese aluminum billet stayed flat at around CNY 16,000 ($2,529) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar was unchanged at CNY 14,050 ($2,221) per metric ton. Chinese primary aluminum cash price showed little movement last Friday, hovering around CNY 16,020 ($2,532) per metric ton.
