The LME aluminum 3-month price closed Thursday at $1,996 per metric ton, halting its two-day flat run on the LME with a 1.1 percent decline. Thursday saw the cash price of primary aluminum drift down 1.1 percent on the LME to $1,957 per metric ton after a couple of stagnant days.
Chinese aluminum prices closed mixed yesterday.
The cash price of Chinese aluminum saw a 0.1 percent decline, while the price of Chinese aluminum scrap was unchanged at above $2,600 per metric ton.
The price of Chinese aluminum billet held steady above $2,500 per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar remained essentially flat at above $2,200 per metric ton.
