With a 2.3 percent increase on June 6, 2012, Indian silver was the biggest mover on the Global Precious Metals MMI®. Japanese silver prices rose 2.3 percent to JPY 727.00 ($9.29) per 10 grams. The price of US silver increased one percent to $28.53 per ounce. Chinese silver prices inched up 0.9 percent to CNY 6,035 ($947) per kilogram.
Transactional prices of gold rose as well.
Japanese gold bullion gained 1.1 percent to finish at JPY 4,120 ($52) per gram. At INR 30,038 ($539), the price of Indian gold bullion finished the market day up one percent per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion saw its price rise 0.2 percent to CNY 333.11 ($52.31) per gram. The price of US gold bullion held steady at $1,543 per ounce.
Japanese platinum bar prices inched up 1.1 percent to JPY 3,668 ($46) per gram. US platinum bar prices rose 0.7 percent to $1,434 per ounce. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of Chinese platinum bar held steady at CNY 315.00 ($49.46).
Japanese palladium bar gained 2.3 percent to finish at JPY 1,584 ($20) per gram. At $622.00, the price of US palladium bar finished the market day up 1.8 percent per ounce. After a 1.4 percent increase, Chinese palladium bar finished the day at CNY 150.00 ($23.55) per gram.
