The Indian nickel cash price saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 1.9 percent on June 20, 2012. On the LME, the 3-month price of nickel rose 0.4 percent to $16,740 per metric ton. On the LME, the nickel spot price gained 0.3 percent to finish at $16,670 per metric ton.
Chinese primary nickel prices finished the market day up 1.5 percent per metric ton.
Chinese stainless steel prices, meanwhile, closed mixed yesterday.
The price of Chinese 316 stainless coil held steady at below $4,800 per metric ton. The price of Chinese 304 stainless coil was unchanged at north of $2,800 per metric ton.
Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap saw little change in its price on Wednesday, holding in the mid-$2,700s per metric ton. The price of Chinese 304 stainless steel scrap continues hovering around $2,800 per metric ton for the fifth day in a row.
The Chinese ferro-chrome price remained essentially flat, and Chinese ferro-moly saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
