The prices of US copper producer grades 102, 110 and 122 all saw the only increase on our daily copper price index, at 1.2 percent.
Meanwhile, the Japanese copper cash price saw little movement, continuing to hover below the $8,200 per metric ton mark.
Chinese copper prices closed flat for the day.
The price of Chinese copper bar steadied at north of $8,800 per metric ton following two days of increases. After a couple of days of improving prices, the Chinese copper cash price held steady, also above $8,800.
The price of Chinese copper wire flattened just below $8,700 after two days of improvement. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap showed little movement yesterday below $7,500 per metric ton.
On the LME, the 3-month price of copper held steady around $7,410 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the primary copper cash price held steady around $7,395 per metric ton.
