After two changeless days, the price of Chinese palladium bar closed at CNY 142.00 ($22.30) per gram on Aug. 9, 2012. At $587.00, the price of US palladium bar finished the market day up 0.3 percent per ounce. After a 0.1 percent increase, Japanese palladium bar finished the day at JPY 1,480 ($18) per gram.
Japanese platinum bar prices rose 0.8 percent to JPY 3,585 ($45) per gram. Chinese platinum bar prices inched up 0.7 percent to CNY 309.50 ($48.60) per gram. US platinum bar gained 0.3 percent to finish at $1,407 per ounce.
What about silver and gold prices? Carry on.
After a 0.6 percent increase, the price of Japanese gold bullion finished the day at JPY 4,080 ($52) per gram. The price of Indian gold bullion increased 0.4 percent to INR 29,751 ($536) per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion finished the day up 0.2 percent to CNY 331.40 ($52.04) per gram. The price of US gold bullion remained essentially flat at $1,614 per ounce.
Japanese silver saw its price rise one percent to JPY 705.00 ($9.01) per 10 grams. At CNY 5,910 ($927), the price of Chinese silver finished the market day up 0.6 percent per kilogram. Indian silver gained 0.5 percent to finish at INR 52,971 ($954) per kilogram. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of US silver held steady at $28.16.
