US Silver Price Drops 1% on Daily Precious Metals Index

Closing at $27.91 per ounce on Aug. 13, 2012, US silver prices saw the biggest change at a one percent. Japanese silver prices rose 0.7 percent to JPY 705.00 ($9.01) per 10 grams. At INR 53,220 ($959), the price of Indian silver finished the market day up 0.5 percent per kilogram. The price of Chinese silver increased 0.2 percent to CNY 5,910 ($927) per kilogram.

After a 0.8 percent increase, Indian gold bullion finished the day at INR 29,990 ($540) per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion saw its price rise 0.4 percent to CNY 332.40 ($52.19) per gram. US gold bullion prices saw a 0.3 percent decline to $1,616 per ounce. Japanese gold bullion finished the day up 0.2 percent to JPY 4,081 ($52) per gram.

The price of Chinese platinum bar fell one percent to CNY 306.50 ($48.13) per gram. Japanese platinum bar closed 0.7 percent lower at JPY 3,523 ($45) per gram. US platinum bar ended the day at $1,389 per ounce, after the 0.6 percent drop yesterday.

Chinese palladium bar finished the day down 0.7 percent to CNY 141.00 ($22.14) per gram. The price of US palladium bar declined 0.5 percent to $575.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar gained 0.3 percent to finish at JPY 1,480 ($18) per gram.
