With a decline of 0.7 percent on Aug. 29, 2012, the Indian aluminum cash price recorded the biggest decline of the day on our aluminum index.
On the LME, the primary aluminum cash price gained 0.6 percent to finish at $1,882 per metric ton. At $1,910, the aluminum 3-month price finished the market day on the LME up 0.5 percent per metric ton.
Chinese aluminum prices were flat for the day.
The Chinese aluminum cash price saw little change in its price yesterday, holding north of $2,400 per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap continues hovering around $2,000 per metric ton for the fifth day in a row.
Chinese aluminum billet held its value yesterday above $2,400 per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar saw little movement as well, staying above $2,200 per metric ton.
