US Palladium Bar Price Rises Almost 2% on Daily Precious Metals Index

US palladium bar saw a 1.9 percent increase on Sept. 5, 2012, reaching $640.00 per ounce and making it the biggest upwards shift of the day on MetalMiner’s precious metals price index. Japanese palladium bar finished the day up 1.5 percent to JPY 1,608 ($20.52) per gram. The price of Chinese palladium bar increased 0.7 percent to CNY 153.00 ($24.12) per gram.

Chinese platinum bar saw its price rise 1.6 percent to CNY 327.00 ($51.55) per gram. US platinum bar finished the day up 1.4 percent to $1,566 per ounce. At JPY 3,937 ($50.25), the price of Japanese platinum bar finished the market day up 0.8 percent per gram.

Indian gold bullion prices rose 0.6 percent to INR 31,300 ($563.61) per 10 grams. Japanese gold bullion prices inched up 0.4 percent to JPY 4,274 ($54.55) per gram. After a 0.2 percent increase, Chinese gold bullion finished the day at CNY 346.10 ($54.56) per gram. US gold bullion gained 0.2 percent to finish at $1,696 per ounce.

The price of Japanese silver increased 1.9 percent to JPY 809.00 ($10.33) per 10 grams. Chinese silver saw its price rise 1.4 percent to CNY 6,705 ($1,057) per kilogram. At INR 59,760 ($1,076), the price of Indian silver finished the market day up 1.3 percent per kilogram. After a 0.8 percent increase, US silver finished the day at $32.36 per ounce.
