Automotive MMI®: US Platinum Bar Price Sees Biggest Rise for the Week

The week’s biggest mover on MetalMiner’s weekly Automotive MMI® was the price of US platinum bar, which saw a 5.1 percent increase to $1,578 per ounce. This comes on the heels of a 3.3 percent decline the week prior.

The price of US palladium bar rose 4.4 percent to $643.00 per ounce after falling 5.4 percent during the previous week.

The price of US HDG, meanwhile, fell 0.1 percent, after rising 0.5 percent the week before.

The copper 3-month price rose 1.2 percent on the LME to $7,615 per metric ton after falling 0.7 percent during the previous week. The primary copper cash price rose 0.9 percent on the LME to $7,606 per metric ton after falling 0.4 percent during the previous week.

The price of Chinese lead rose 0.8 percent over the past week. The price of Korean 5052 coil premium over 1050 sheet did not change since the previous week, remaining under $4 per metric ton.
