With a 2 percent increase on Sept. 6, 2012, Japanese platinum bar was the biggest mover on the daily Global Precious Metals price index. Chinese platinum bar saw its price rise 1.2 percent to CNY 331.00 ($52.18) per gram. US platinum bar finished the day up 0.6 percent to $1,578 per ounce.
Chinese palladium bar prices inched up 0.6 percent to CNY 155.00 ($24.44) per gram. Japanese palladium bar gained 0.6 percent to finish at JPY 1,615 ($20.61) per gram. The price of US palladium bar increased 0.2 percent to $643.00 per ounce.
After a 0.7 percent increase, Japanese gold bullion finished the day at JPY 4,299 ($54.87) per gram. For the seventh day in a row, the price of Indian gold bullion rose and is currently at INR 31,648 ($569.87) per 10 grams. At $1,701, the price of US gold bullion finished the market day up 0.5 percent per ounce. Chinese gold bullion prices rose 0.2 percent to CNY 346.60 ($54.64) per gram.
Indian silver finished the day up 1.9 percent to INR 60,920 ($1,097) per kilogram. US silver prices inched up 1.4 percent to $32.71 per ounce. The price of Japanese silver increased 0.7 percent to JPY 816.00 ($10.41) per 10 grams. At CNY 6,735 ($1,062), the price of Chinese silver finished the market day up 0.3 percent per kilogram.
