Cash Price of Primary Indian Aluminum Still Gaining

On Sept. 10, 2012, the cash price of primary Indian aluminum experienced the biggest change, rising 1.9 percent.

On the LME, the primary aluminum cash price rose 1.3 percent to $1,988 per metric ton. After a 1 percent increase, the 3-month price of aluminum finished the day on the LME at $1,994 per metric ton.

Chinese aluminum closed mixed on Monday.

The price of Chinese aluminum billet finished the market day up 0.6 percent per metric ton. The cash price of Chinese aluminum inched up 0.6 percent as well. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around just north of $2,000 per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar continues hovering above $2,200 per metric ton for the fifth day in a row.
