US Platinum Bar Price Shifts Up 2.6%
On Sept. 13, 2012, US platinum bar jumped up 2.6 percent, landing at $1,644 per ounce and making it the day’s biggest increase on MetalMiner’s precious metals price index.
Japanese platinum bar gained 1.9 percent to finish at JPY 4,132 ($53.08) per gram. At CNY 344.00 ($54.36), the price of Chinese platinum bar finished the market day up 1.8 percent per gram.
The price of Chinese palladium bar increased 1.2 percent to CNY 164.00 ($25.91) per gram. For the 7th day in a row, the price of Japanese palladium bar rose and is currently at JPY 1,688 ($21.69) per gram. After a 0.7 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $674.00 per ounce.
Japanese gold bullion ended the day at JPY 4,327 ($55.59) per gram, after the 0.7 percent drop on Thursday. Indian gold bullion closed 0.3 percent lower at INR 31,953 ($578.70) per 10 grams. At CNY 352.91 ($55.77) per gram, Chinese gold bullion fell 0.3 percent yesterday. The price of US gold bullion showed little movement on Thursday at $1,731 per ounce.
Chinese silver prices saw a 1.6 percent decline to CNY 6,910 ($1,092) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver declined 1.4 percent to JPY 826.00 ($10.61) per 10 grams. Indian silver finished the day down 1.4 percent to INR 61,264 ($1,110) per kilogram. The price of US silver fell 0.5 percent to $33.31 per ounce.
