US Platinum Bar Price Shifts Up on the Day

US platinum bar saw a 1.5 percent increase on Sept. 17, 2012, reaching $1,705 per ounce and making it the biggest upwards shift of the day. Chinese platinum bar gained 0.6 percent to finish at CNY 356.00 ($56.36) per gram. The price of Japanese platinum bar ended a two-day climb, settling at JPY 4,268 ($54.48) per gram.

After a 1.2 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $695.00 per ounce. For the 9th day in a row, the price of Chinese palladium bar rose and is currently at CNY 167.00 ($26.44) per gram. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of Japanese palladium bar held steady at JPY 1,702 ($21.72).

The price of Indian gold bullion fell 1 percent to INR 31,825 ($586.04) per 10 grams. US gold bullion finished the day up 0.2 percent to $1,770 per ounce. Chinese gold bullion saw little change in its price on Monday at CNY 360.88 ($57.13) per gram. The price of Japanese gold bullion remained essentially flat at JPY 4,428 ($56.52) per gram.

Indian silver prices saw a 0.6 percent decline to INR 62,102 ($1,144) per kilogram. At CNY 7,240 ($1,146) per kilogram, Chinese silver fell 0.1 percent on Monday. Japanese silver stayed flat at around JPY 863.00 ($11.02) per 10 grams. US silver held its value yesterday at $34.68 per ounce.
