Following a three-day flat streak, the price of Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap climbed by 1.2 percent on Sept. 19, 2012.
The prices of Chinese 304 stainless steel scrap, 304 stainless coil and 316 stainless coil all held steady on the day.
The price of Chinese ferro-chrome continues to hover steadily for the fifth day in a row. The price of Chinese ferro-moly remained essentially flat, and the price of Chinese primary nickel saw little movement yesterday.
After improving for two days, the nickel 3-month price declined 1 percent on the LME to $17,835 per metric ton. Weakening prices followed two days of improvement as the nickel spot price dropped 0.9 percent on the LME to $17,795 per metric ton.
The Indian nickel cash price declined 0.1 percent.
