Chinese Silver Price Drifts 2.5%

On Sept. 24, 2012, the day’s biggest mover on MetalMiner’s precious metals price index was Chinese silver, which saw a 2.5 percent decline. Indian silver fell 2.3 percent yesterday. Japanese silver ended the day after a 1.1 percent drop on Monday. US silver prices saw a 0.3 percent decline.

The price of Indian gold bullion declined 0.9 percent. Chinese gold bullion closed 0.8 percent lower, Japanese gold bullion finished the day down 0.7 percent and the price of US gold bullion increased 0.3 percent.

The price of Chinese platinum bar fell 2 percent. The price of Japanese platinum bar declined 1.8 percent. The price of US platinum bar finished the market day up 0.7 percent per ounce.

Japanese palladium bar prices saw a 1.4 percent decline. US palladium bar prices inched up 1.2 percent. Chinese palladium bar finished the day down 0.6 percent.
