Neodymium Price Falls 9.2% on Rare Earths Price Index

The week’s biggest mover on the weekly Rare Earths MMI® was neodymium, which saw a 9.2 percent decline.

The price of terbium oxide decreased 7.2 percent from the previous week. Neodymium oxide finished the week after falling 4.8 percent.

Europium oxide weakened by 4.7 percent. The price of cerium oxide declined 1.6 percent over the past week. Cerium oxide saw a 1.6 percent decline as well, and lanthanum oxide followed suit with a 1.6 percent drop over the past week.

Following a steady week, prices for praseodymium neodymium oxide closed flat. Praseodymium oxide, rare earth carbonate and samarium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week as well.
