Cash Price of Primary Indian Nickel Rises

The cash price of primary Indian nickel moved up 3.1 percent on Sept. 25, 2012, making it the day’s biggest mover on our stainless price index.

The spot price of nickel saw a 1.1 percent decline on the LME to $17,805 per metric ton. On the LME, the nickel 3-month price declined 0.8 percent to $17,925 per metric ton.

Chinese stainless steel closed flat yet again yesterday.

The price of Chinese primary nickel finished the day with a 0.2 percent rise. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome continues hovering in place for the fifth day in a row. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-moly held flat also.
