LME Copper Cash Price Increases on the Day

Rising 1.2 percent to close at $8,266 per metric ton, the copper cash price experienced the biggest change on the LME for Oct. 1, 2012. After a 0.9 percent increase, the copper 3-month price finished the day on the LME at $8,246 per metric ton.

The prices of US copper producer grades 102, 110 and 122 finished the market day up 0.7 percent. For the fifth consecutive day, the Japanese copper cash price held flat.

Chinese copper prices were flat for the day. Chinese copper bar saw little change in its price yesterday. The cash price of Chinese copper held steady. Chinese copper wire stayed flat, and the price of Chinese bright copper scrap saw little movement.
