The monthly Rare Earths MMI® registered a value of 50 in October, a decrease of 3.8 percent from 52 in September.
Neodymium prices dropped by 11.4 percent this month to CNY 495,000 ($78,749) per metric ton. A 9.2 percent drop over the past month left lanthanum oxide at CNY 61,500 ($9,784) per metric ton. A 9.2 percent decline for cerium oxide left the price at CNY 61,500 ($9,784) per metric ton.
After falling 7.1 percent, dysprosium oxide finished the month at CNY 3,450 ($548.86) per kilogram. The price of terbium oxide closed the month at CNY 5,150 ($819.31) per kilogram after dropping 6.2 percent. The price of neodymium oxide fell 6 percent to CNY 395,000 ($62,840) per metric ton. Europium oxide prices dropped by 3.6 percent this month to CNY 6,150 ($978.39) per kilogram.
Terbium metal experienced a 1.1 percent increase, staying around CNY 8,050 ($1,281) per kilogram. At a price of CNY 400.00 ($63.64) per kilogram, yttrium rose 1.2 percent.
