Chinese Rebar Price Increases on Weekly Construction Metals Index

Chinese rebar improved by 3.4 percent on the weekly Construction MMI®.

In the past week, Chinese H-beam steel saw its price shift up 1.4 percent. The Chinese low price of 62% Australian iron ore fines remained steady from the previous week. Prices for Chinese aluminum bar remained constant.

A Quiet Week on the Western (Metals) Front

Last week finished with no movement for European 1050 aluminum sheet.

The price of US shredded scrap fell 1.9 percent – the fourth week in a row of declining prices.

The weekly US bar fuel surcharges in the Midwest, Rocky Mountain and Gulf Coast regions all kept flat for the week.
