Japanese Silver Prices Fall on Daily Index

Japanese silver saw a 2.2 percent drop on Oct. 9, 2012, making it the biggest mover of the day on MetalMiner’s precious metals price index. US silver prices saw a 1.5 percent decline. Indian silver gained 0.6 percent. Chinese silver finished the day down 0.2 percent.

Japanese gold bullion ended the day after a 1 percent drop yesterday. Indian gold bullion prices inched up 0.6 percent, the price of Chinese gold bullion finished the market day up 0.4 percent and US gold bullion closed 0.3 percent lower.

The price of Japanese platinum bar declined 1.1 percent. US platinum bar fell 0.7 percent on Tuesday. Chinese platinum bar saw a 0.3 percent increase.

The price of Chinese palladium bar increased 0.6 percent, while the price of US palladium bar fell 0.6 percent. The price of Japanese palladium bar remained essentially flat.
