The price of US palladium bar fell 1.5 percent on Oct. 19, 2012, making it the day’s biggest mover on MetalMiner’s precious metals price index.
Weakening prices followed two days of improvement as the price of Chinese palladium bar dropped 1.3 percent. After improving for two days, the price of Japanese palladium bar declined 0.9 percent.
Chinese platinum bar ended the day after a 1.4 percent drop last Friday. Following two days of rising prices, the price of Japanese platinum bar dropped 1.3 percent, and the price of US platinum bar weakened by 1.1 percent.
Chinese gold bullion prices saw a 0.8 percent decline. Indian gold bullion prices inched up 0.8 percent. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of Japanese gold bullion weakened by 0.5 percent. US gold bullion finished the day down 0.5 percent.
The price of US silver declined 1.1 percent after two days of improvement. The price of Chinese silver fell 1 percent. The price of Indian silver fell by 0.4 percent. The price of Japanese silver ended a two-day climb, settling at JPY 839.00 ($10.58) per 10 grams.
