Copper Prices Break Out of Funk
Following a two-day decline on the LME, the copper 3-month price climbed up 0.6 percent to end at $7,759 per metric ton on Oct. 31, 2012 on our copper price index. Following a 0.5 percent rise on Wednesday, the primary copper cash price closed on the LME at $7,759 per metric ton.
Aluminum Prices Still Slipping
The aluminum cash price closed up Oct. 31, 2012 at $1,884 per metric ton on the index, halting two days of weakening prices on the LME with a 0.6 percent shift. After falling for two days, the aluminum 3-month price rose 0.6 percent on the LME to $1,912 per metric ton.
