3-Month Price of Aluminum Turns Around After Two-Day Fall

Following a two-day decline on the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum climbed up 2.1 percent to end at $1,948 per metric ton on Nov. 13, 2012. Following a 2.1 percent rise on Tuesday, the primary aluminum cash price closed on the LME at $1,928 per metric ton. The cash price of primary Indian aluminum rose 0.8 percent to INR 106.80 ($1.95) per kilogram.

Chinese aluminum closed mixed on Tuesday. At CNY 15,090 ($2,420), the Chinese aluminum cash price finished the market day up 0.3 percent per metric ton. At CNY 15,100 ($2,422), the price of Chinese aluminum billet finished the market day up 0.3 percent per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap continues hovering around CNY 12,900 ($2,069) per metric ton for the fifth day in a row. The price of Chinese aluminum bar was unchanged at CNY 14,050 ($2,253) per metric ton.
