China Platinum Price Shoots Up More Than 5%

On Nov. 14, 2012, Chinese platinum bar jumped up 5.1 percent, making it the day’s biggest increase on MetalMiner’s precious metals price index. Japanese platinum bar gained 1.9 percent. The price of US platinum bar increased 0.3 percent.

Japanese palladium bar had a large daily increase of 5 percent. Following a two-day drop, the price of Chinese palladium bar increased by 4.2 percent. US palladium bar saw its price rise 0.3 percent.

The price of Japanese gold bullion rose 0.6 percent after a two-day drop. The price of Chinese gold bullion finished the market day up 0.3 percent per gram. The price of US gold bullion saw little movement, while the price of Indian gold bullion remained essentially flat.

Japanese silver prices rose 1.5 percent. US silver finished the day with a 0.7 percent increase. Chinese silver prices rose 0.5 percent. Indian silver saw little change in its price yesterday.
