The price of Chinese primary nickel closed Nov. 15, 2012 by halting its two-day flat run with a 1 percent shift on MetalMiner’s stainless price index.
On the LME, the 3-month price of nickel rose 0.7 percent to $16,100 per metric ton. The LME spot price of nickel rose 0.5 percent to $15,980 per metric ton. The Indian nickel cash price inched up 0.2 percent.
Chinese 304 and 316 stainless steel coil and scrap all stayed flat.
For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-chrome held flat, and Chinese ferro-moly saw little movement.
