today's copper prices - MetalMiner IndXThe price of US copper producer grade 110 moved up 1.7 percent on Nov. 20, 2012, making it the day’s biggest mover on our copper price index.

The price of US copper producer grade 122 gained 1.7 percent as well, while the price of US copper producer grade 102 increased 1.6 percent.

The Japanese copper cash price held steady, and Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day.

Chinese copper bar gained 0.4 percent, and the cash price of Chinese copper finished the market day up 0.4 percent as well. The price of Chinese copper wire has been on the rise for 8 days and is now at above $9,000 per metric ton. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained essentially flat.

After falling for two days, the 3-month price of copper rose 1.1 percent on the LME to $7,670 per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper rose 0.9 percent on the LME to $7,639 per metric ton after a two-day drop.

With a 1.2 percent increase over the past day, the Indian aluminum cash price was the biggest mover on Nov. 20, 2012.

The LME primary aluminum cash price is back up, rising by 0.3 percent on Tuesday to close at $1,928 per metric ton. After falling for two days, the 3-month price of aluminum rose 0.2 percent on the LME to $1,946 per metric ton.
