LME Aluminum 3-Month Price Falls, China Billet Up on Weekly Index

The biggest mover on the weekly Aluminum MMI® was the aluminum 3-month price, which saw a 2 percent decline on the LME to $1,946 per metric ton. This comes on the heels of a 3.1 percent increase the week before.

Following a 3.4 percent increase in the week prior, the primary aluminum cash price fell 1.9 percent on the LME last week to $1,928 per metric ton.

Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the week. Chinese aluminum billet prices ticked up 0.3 percent over the past week. This past week, the cash price of Chinese aluminum kept quiet. Prices for Chinese aluminum bar remained constant as well.

The week finished with no movement for Korean 3003 coil premium over 1050 sheet. Korean 5052 coil premium over 1050 sheet remained essentially flat also.
