Base Metals Prices Roundup: China Copper Scrap Falls on Daily Index

today's copper prices - MetalMiner IndXWeakening prices ended a three-day flat streak as the price of Chinese bright copper scrap fell 3.3 percent on Nov. 26, 2012, on MetalMiner’s daily metal price index.

The price of Chinese copper wire closed following a 0.5 percent rise on Monday. Following a two-day drop, the price of Chinese copper bar increased by 0.5 percent as well. After falling for two days, the cash price of Chinese copper also rose 0.5 percent.

The price of US copper producer grade 122 dropped by 0.5 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 halted its two-day flat run with a 0.5 percent decline. After two changeless days, the price of US copper producer grade 102 fell 0.5 percent as well. For the fifth day in a row, the Japanese copper cash price remained essentially flat.

today's metal prices - MetalMiner IndXOn the LME, the copper 3-month price fell 0.5 percent to $7,692 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the cash price of primary copper declined 0.5 percent to $7,676 per metric ton.

Daily Aluminum Price Movements

The cash price of primary Indian aluminum moved up 2.2 percent on Nov. 26, 2012, making it the day’s biggest mover on MetalMiner’s aluminum price index.

The primary aluminum cash price rose 0.7 percent on the LME to $1,928 per metric ton after a two-day drop. Also following a two-day drop, the aluminum 3-month price increased by 0.7 percent on the LME to $1,948 per metric ton.

exact aluminum prices - MetalMiner IndXThe cash price of Chinese aluminum finished the market day up 0.2 percent per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap remained essentially flat, as did billet and bar prices.
