The biggest mover on the weekly Rare Earths MMI® was the price of praseodymium neodymium oxide, which saw a 14.7 percent increase. Last week marked the fourth in a row of rising prices for the metal.
Neodymium oxide climbed 11.7 percent. Another of the big movers this week was lanthanum oxide, which shot up 8.3 percent.
With a 6.8 percent climb, europium oxide prices gained. A 5.6 percent jump for cerium oxide reflected an appreciation of nearly $500 per metric ton. Closing out the third week of rising prices, the price of praseodymium oxide increased by 5.1 percent.
Other rare earths prices tracked by the MetalMiner IndX℠, including neodymium, rare earth carbonate and terbium metal remained unchanged for the week.
