A 4 percent increase made the LME copper cash price the biggest mover on the weekly Automotive MMI®, closing at $8,050 per metric ton on the LME. At $8,021 per metric ton, the 3-month price of copper finished the week 3.9 percent higher on the LME.
Following a 1.8 percent increase in the week prior, the price of US platinum bar fell 1.6 percent last week. The price of US palladium bar rose 1.3 percent.
The price of Chinese lead fell 0.8 percent after rising 0.3 percent the week before. Following a steady week, prices for Korean 5052 coil premium over 1050 sheet closed flat.
