The nickel 3-month price experienced the biggest price decline of the day on MetalMiner’s stainless price index, dropping 2.2 percent on the LME to close at $17,070 per metric ton on Dec. 10, 2012.
The spot price of nickel weakened by 2 percent on the LME, settling at $17,020 per metric ton.
The Indian nickel cash price rose 2 percent, however, after a two-day drop. The price of Chinese primary nickel finished the market day up 0.3 percent per metric ton.
The prices of Chinese 304 and 316 stainless coil and scrap saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
The price of Chinese ferro-chrome saw little movement as well. The price of Chinese ferro-moly remained essentially flat.
