Indian Silver Rises 2.8%

At INR 62,547 ($1,151) per kilogram, Indian silver moved up 2.8 percent on Dec. 13, 2012, the day’s biggest change. US silver prices rose 1.4 percent to $33.45 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver declined 1.3 percent to CNY 6,560 ($1,049) per kilogram. At JPY 877.00 ($10.54), the price of Japanese silver finished the market day up 0.2 percent per 10 grams.

The price of Indian gold bullion increased 1.3 percent to INR 31,459 ($579.14) per 10 grams. After improving for two days, the price of Chinese gold bullion declined 0.5 percent to CNY 342.00 ($54.68) per gram. Japanese gold bullion gained 0.3 percent to finish at JPY 4,560 ($54.79) per gram. US gold bullion stayed flat at around $1,712 per ounce.

Following two days of rising prices, the price of Japanese platinum bar dropped 0.2 percent to JPY 4,347 ($52.23) per gram. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of Chinese platinum bar weakened by 0.1 percent. Prices closed at CNY 347.50 ($55.56) per gram. The price of US platinum bar has been on the rise for 7 days and is now at $1,633 per ounce.

Chinese palladium bar prices saw a 0.3 percent decline to CNY 164.50 ($26.30) per gram. US palladium bar finished the day up 0.1 percent to $694.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar saw little change in its price yesterday at JPY 1,832 ($22.01) per gram.
