Japanese Palladium Bar Rises 4.8%

Japanese palladium bar saw a 4.8 percent increase on Dec. 19, 2012, reaching JPY 1,873 ($22.20) per gram and making it the biggest upwards shift of the day. The price of US palladium bar declined 1.9 percent to $684.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar ended the day at CNY 163.50 ($26.21) per gram, after the 1.2 percent drop yesterday.

The price of Chinese platinum bar fell 0.9 percent to CNY 340.50 ($54.59) per gram. US platinum bar prices saw a 0.8 percent decline to $1,592 per ounce. The price of Japanese platinum bar held steady at JPY 4,362 ($51.71) per gram.

At INR 30,567 ($557.27) per 10 grams, Indian gold bullion fell 1.9 percent yesterday. US gold bullion finished the day down 1.6 percent to $1,671 per ounce. The price of Chinese gold bullion declined 1.4 percent to CNY 336.70 ($53.98) per gram. At JPY 4,545 ($53.88) per gram, Japanese gold bullion fell 0.5 percent yesterday.

Indian silver finished the day down 2.7 percent to INR 58,967 ($1,075) per kilogram. The price of US silver fell 2.0 percent to $31.64 per ounce. Chinese silver prices saw a 1.8 percent decline to CNY 6,420 ($1,029) per kilogram. Japanese silver prices inched up 0.5 percent to JPY 868.00 ($10.29) per 10 grams.
