Decreasing 1.2 percent made Chinese copper wire the biggest mover of the day on Dec. 20, 2012. The price of Chinese copper bar fell 1.2 percent. The Chinese copper cash price fell 1.2 percent as well. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap saw little movement.
The price of US copper producer grade 122 declined 0.9 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 saw a 0.9 percent decline. The price of US copper producer grade 102 weakened by 0.9 percent. The Japanese copper cash price saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
The copper 3-month price saw a 0.7 percent decline on the LME to $7,946 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the cash price of primary copper fell 0.7 percent to $7,985 per metric ton.
