Chinese Copper Bar Up 0.4 Percent

On Dec. 27, 2012, Chinese copper bar jumped up 0.4 percent, landing at CNY 57,650 ($9,243) per metric ton and making it the day’s biggest increase. the Chinese copper cash price rose 0.4 percent to CNY 57,850 ($9,275) per metric ton. After a 0.4 percent increase, Chinese copper wire finished the day at CNY 56,750 ($9,099) per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap stayed flat at around CNY 47,900 ($7,680) per metric ton.

The price of US copper producer grade 122 saw little movement yesterday, closing out around $4 per pound. the cash price of primary Japanese copper saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around JPY 640,000 ($7,469) per metric ton. the price of US copper producer grade 102 saw little movement yesterday at $4.35 per pound. the price of US copper producer grade 110 showed little movement on Thursday, hovering around $4.16 per pound.

On the LME, the copper 3-month price saw little change in its price on Thursday at $7,778 per metric ton. the primary copper cash price showed little movement on Thursday on the LME at $7,801 per metric ton.
