US Gold Bullion Moves Up 1.1%

On Jan. 1, 2013, the day’s biggest mover was US gold bullion, which saw a 1.1 percent increase to $1,675 per ounce. The price of Chinese gold bullion remained essentially flat at CNY 333.00 ($53.44) per gram. Indian gold bullion held its value yesterday at INR 30,446 ($553.61) per 10 grams. The price of Japanese gold bullion held steady at JPY 4,569 ($52.68) per gram.

US silver prices rose 1.1 percent to $30.35 per ounce. Chinese silver saw little change in its price yesterday at CNY 6,120 ($982.09) per kilogram. The price of Indian silver remained steady at INR 56,736 ($1,032) per kilogram. Japanese silver stayed flat at around JPY 822.00 ($9.48) per 10 grams.

Chinese platinum bar saw little change in its price on Monday at CNY 326.50 ($52.39) per gram. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of US platinum bar held flat at $1,549 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar stayed flat at around JPY 4,265 ($49.17) per gram.

US palladium bar finished the day up 1.0 percent to $702.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar held its value on Monday at JPY 1,910 ($22.02) per gram. The price of Chinese palladium bar remained essentially flat at CNY 165.50 ($26.56) per gram.
