On Jan. 3, 2013, US silver jumped up 2.1 percent, making it the day’s biggest increase on MetalMiner’s daily precious metals price index.
Indian silver prices rose 0.8 percent, while Chinese silver held its value on Thursday. The price of Japanese silver held steady also.
The price of Indian gold bullion increased 0.7 percent. After a 0.6 percent increase, US gold bullion finished the day at $1,686 per ounce. Chinese gold bullion stayed flat. The price of Japanese gold bullion saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
The price of Chinese platinum bar was essentially unchanged. The price of US platinum bar remained essentially flat. The price of Japanese platinum bar was also unchanged.
US palladium bar prices finished the market day up 0.3 percent per ounce. The price of Japanese palladium bar continues hovering around JPY 1,910 per gram for the fifth day in a row. Chinese palladium bar stayed flat.
