Cash Price of Primary Indian Aluminum 1.7% Lower

Following two days of increases, the Indian aluminum cash price dropped by 1.7 percent on Jan. 4, 2013, on our aluminum price index.

On the LME, the aluminum 3-month price rose 0.8 percent to $2,145 per metric ton. On the LME, the cash price of primary aluminum inched up 0.7 percent to $2,108 per metric ton.

Chinese aluminum bar, billet, scrap and cash prices closed flat for the day.
