LME Copper 3-Month Price Sees Small Decline
On Jan. 8, 2013, the copper 3-month price fell by 0.4 percent on the LME, landing at $7,995 per metric ton and making it the day’s biggest mover on MetalMiner’s copper price index.
The primary copper cash price saw a 0.3 percent decline on the LME to $8,032 per metric ton.
The price of US copper producer grade 122 weakened by 0.2 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 saw a 0.2 percent decline. The price of US copper producer grade 102 declined 0.2 percent.
For the fifth day in a row, the cash price of primary Japanese copper remained essentially flat.
Chinese copper wire, bar, cash and bright scrap prices closed flat for the day.
