Automotive MMI®: US Palladium Bar Falls 2.6% for the Week

The week’s biggest mover on the weekly Automotive MMI® was the price of US palladium bar, which saw a 2.6 percent decline to $686.00 per ounce. This comes on the heels of a 2.0 percent increase the week before. Prices for US platinum bar remained constant, closing the week at $1,549 per ounce.

US HDG prices were off slightly at $775.00 per short ton, down from $780.00 a week ago.

Following a 3.9 percent increase in the week prior, the 3-month price of copper fell 0.3 percent on the LME last week to $8,058 per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper fell 0.3 percent on the LME to $8,090 per metric ton after rising 4.0 percent the week before. Closing at KRW 4,360 ($4.11) per kilogram, Korean 5052 coil premium over 1050 sheet remained unchanged for the week. The Chinese lead price remained steady from the previous week at CNY 14,775 ($2,373) per metric ton.
