US Copper Producer Grade 122 Price Improves Slightly

On Jan. 11, 2013, US copper producer grade 110 price experienced the biggest change, rising 0.9 percent to $4.33 per pound. After a 0.9 percent increase, the price of US copper producer grade 122 finished the day at $4.33 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 rose 0.9 percent to $4.52 per pound. The Japanese copper cash price was unchanged at JPY 640,000 ($7,173) per metric ton.

Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. Chinese copper bar gained 0.5 percent to finish at CNY 58,840 ($9,451) per metric ton. The Chinese copper cash price increased 0.5 percent to CNY 59,040 ($9,483) per metric ton. The price of Chinese copper wire increased 0.3 percent to CNY 57,875 ($9,296) per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap stayed flat at around CNY 48,800 ($7,839) per metric ton.

On the LME, the 3-month price of copper gained 0.7 percent to finish at $8,116 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the primary copper cash price rose 0.7 percent to $8,145 per metric ton.
