The Indian nickel cash price saw the biggest upwards shift for the day on our metal price service, rising 1.7 percent on Jan. 16, 2013.
On the LME, the 3-month price of nickel declined 1.3 percent to $17,220 per metric ton. The nickel spot price weakened by 1.0 percent on the LME, settling at $17,180 per metric ton.
The price of Chinese primary nickel inched up 0.3 percent.
Chinese stainless steel prices held flat for the day. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-chrome also held flat. The price of Chinese ferro-moly held steady.
