With a 1.5 percent increase on Jan. 16, 2013, Chinese silver was the biggest mover on the Global Precious Metals price index.
After a 0.9 percent increase, US silver finished the day above $31 per ounce. Indian silver gained 0.6 percent. The price of Japanese silver remained essentially flat.
US gold bullion prices inched up 0.7 percent. Chinese gold bullion prices rose 0.5 percent. Indian gold bullion finished the day up 0.2 percent. Japanese gold bullion saw little change in its price yesterday.
For the 7th day in a row, the price of Chinese platinum bar rose. For the fifth day in a row, the price of US platinum bar remained essentially flat. Japanese platinum bar held its value on Wednesday.
US palladium bar saw its price rise 0.7 percent. The price of Chinese palladium bar has been on the rise for 7 days and is now just under $28 per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar remained steady.
