On Feb. 1, 2013, the day’s biggest mover were the US copper producer grade 102, 110 and 122 prices, which all saw a 0.2 percent decline.
The Japanese copper cash price saw little movement.
Chinese copper closed mixed last Friday. Chinese bright copper scrap saw its price rise 0.2 percent. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of Chinese copper bar held steady. The cash price of Chinese copper flattened after two days of improvement. Following a two-day rise, the price of Chinese copper wire flattened also.
On the LME, the 3-month price of copper saw little movement last Friday at $8,168 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the cash price of primary copper showed little movement last Friday, hovering around $8,215 per metric ton.
